A tribute to a legend

The only man who is worthy of donning the no.20 Man United shirt.
The man with the famous 93rd minute goal which sealed the treble winning year of United.
The one they call the baby-faced assasin.
My all-time favourite player.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

For the last time today, Ole pulled on the no.20 shirt and walked out of the players tunnel as a Man United player. He played his last match in Red in a testimonial match against Espanyol.
Walking out last out of the tunnel hand in hand with his children, Ole was on the verge of tears as the crowd ruptured into a deafening applause to commemorate this talented, and seasoned lad. Naturally, Ole didnt start - instead he would come off the bench as he did 150 times for United. The 68th minute substitution really brought Old Trafford to its feet with Ole receiving rapturous cheers for every touch of the ball.

In a two-minute spell after his intro, he almost found the back of the net only for the Espanyol goal keeper to make a superb fingertip save to deny Ole a goal. Then came a low-curling shot that was dealt with rather unconvincingly by the keeper. Two chances, two shots on target. Sums up Ole PERFECTLY. When the fourth
held up his board indicating three minutes of added time, you couldnt help but cast your mind back to that memorable night at the Nou Camp in May 1999. This time, however, there were no injury-time heroics, just a cacophonous appreciation for one of the greatest men to ever pull on a United shirt.

More than a decade of service,
366 times he wore the red of Manchester United,
126 Goals,
and it ends today.
