The relapse

Girl: Hello. My name is Hafizah and I'm an addict. A shoppaholic.
Group: Hye Hafizah!
Sponsor: How long have you been sober for?
Girl: When was the last Mega sale again?

Exhilarating. Adrenaline pumping. Refreshing. Spoilt for choice. Jump for joy. Self-satisfaction. Guilty conscience.
I'm outta words to describe yesterday. I relapsed. After all the effort to stay sober, to rid myself of vanity and worldly pursuits but all is for a lost cause. I blame the huge banners and posters promoting 'SALE!', 'UP TO 70% off', and 'FURTHER REDUCTION!' which were practically jumping out in front of me whenever I turn a corner. Vintage tops, draping dresses, stylish satchels and colorsplash tights were literally screaming 'ME, ME!! BUY ME!!'. How could I resist.

Lets start from the beginning, after Physics practicals which was anything but fun, took off in si Merah, ooh I gave the kancil a name and headed for the Immigrations Office to settle Timah's passport application. Since the process required one to bring along a birth cert, Kira wasnt able to settle hers. While all that happened, Syaz, Ina and I waited oh-so-patiently in the waiting area on seats which looked like they had been vomitted on and left to ooze into the cushion fabric.
*skip skip*
Off to The Curve. Remember the vest I mentioned in my earlier posts? That was the sole reason. The nearest MNG store was in Mutiara Damansara but to my utter dismay, they dint have one available in my size. sobs. Out I stepped with hopes dashed and on an empty stomach.
*skip skip to OU*
The car was vibrating with the rumbles and groaning of our bellies so we headed straight for an eatery as soon as we got off the escalator. Everyone was undecided on where to go and since OU was my 'territory' I ushered them all to Chilli's! What's a little lavish spending once in a while right? Quoting mama, 'Takkan makan pon nak berkira'. haha So, we sat down and ordered our meals and when food came, we were aready licking our lips, ready to pounce on the next moving thing with extra meat. Timah, you had to be cautious. Food was great and when the bill came, the biggest shocker was the side charges. 5% - govt tax and 10% - service charge. The service wasnt even that satisfactory seeing as the waiter obviously had it in for us. What ever happened to 'the customer is always right' policy? Good gracious. On leaving, we dint feel the obligation to tip, although I would have voluntarily given the waiter a free smack in the face. He had it coming.

We decided to be really systematic and start from the ground floor and work our way up. Only logical to do so. Shop after shop we came out of and every time, I only added to my count of shopping bags. The temptation was overwhelming I tell you! Thank goodness for closing hours then eyh? haha. By the time we called it a day, the soles of our feet were smoking and our kneecaps out of their sockets! We then headed home with our hearts full, and our purses lighter! :S

My shopping list:

1. A black vest - absent!

2. Bag for college - check! from Pull and Bear.

3. Tops - check! Only three so far from Zara's and Forever 21.

4. Something for the feet? - none to the liking at the mo.

5. Some colourful wrap-around tudungs. - I have yet to master the skill.

6. A new watch - Mama! nak ESPIRIT punyaaaa!

7. Accesories

Now that's round one done. Who's up for round two?! :P
