MJ, you will be remembered.

The King of Pop is finally gone :'(((((((((( wuaaaaa. It all seems surreal. 45 years of pure, raw entertainment, he brought a revolution to the music industry with his high pitched melodic voice, exquisite dance moves and the famous Moonwalk! I knew this would probably sound cliche, but I grew up listening to his songs ok! I remember in the UK, ayah used to buy the black vinyl records to play on his gramophone. No, not the big ol' antique ones, but a modern one, hooked up to the a pair of speakers. And I used to count the grooves on the plate so cautiously so that I could place the needle point exactly where Thriller was starting, and I would just dance in the front living room! Oh gawddd. Classic. Man in the mirror was my all-time favourite.

As I stayed up watching Michael Joseph Jackson @ Mikaeel's memorial yesterday, I cant help but feel at a loss for the greatest entertainer of all time. How many people would just cry at the sight of him on stage, when he opens his mouth to start to singing and what more now that he's gone. I cried buckets, mind you!It was so touching ok! :P I now realised that he tried to bring about change in the world through his music. His plights against racism, world hunger, peace and love were all brought by the lyrics of his songs. He was truly the 'good Samaritan'.

But witnessing his remembrance ceremony made me question some of the things that happened. First and foremost, the parading of his casket in the memorial hall and also praises to the Lord Jesus through Church-like hymns. Was/will he be buried as a muslim? Did he not embrace Islam before his tragic death?
I just want to share with you my theories to these observations. And I stress here, they are MY theories ;)

I have an itching feeling that Michael was indeed buried a Muslim. First proof I bring forward is the fact that the Jackson family held a PRIVATE memorial for family members only. As we know, his brother Jermaine, was a strong devotee of Islam and has spoken of his intentions for his brother to be buried accordingly to Islamic beliefs. However, only God (and the Jackson family) knows what happened inside. Second, The fact that nobody has seen MJ's body after his death; take note of the CLOSED casket for the grand memorial. MJ's body probably wasnt even in there! and to strengthen my theory, the fact that at the end of the service, and correct me if I'm wrong, but the burial site of MJ's 'supposed' body is yet unknown. Whether at the Forest Lawn cemetery or Neverland? or just a small downtown muslim cemetery. Who knows? Wallahu'alam bisawab. May his soul rest in peace di kalangan orang-orang yang beriman. Aminnn.
