Righttttt.

Right, so lets get down to business then ! Two weeks into Easter break and I've only just ate the last of my chocolate eggs that I got for Easter. I've just had under a week recovering from the travels of an overseas student ;)

Travel numero uno : Amsterdam !

It was a five day trip with a day on both ends spent on the mini-cruise. So we only really spent 3 days in the city of Amsterdam which I dint think was really enough ! The cruise took us 13 hours on rough seas which I dint take very well on the way back but we did get to see the breath taking sun rise and set over the horizon.

Day 1.
The stoopid ship was late and on addition to the change to British Summer Time that day, it practically derailed some of the things we had planned for the afternoon. It was a 45 minute bus ride from the Felison Terminal. Thoroughly enjoyable watching the different architectural structures, very different from both the UK and Malaysia. The houses were uneven in height. Some long and tall, some short and boxy. It was really funny to see.
So, we got to the youth hostel, checked in and since we were short on time, we just decided to explore the city for the rest of the day. Dint do anything in particular just kinda walked around.

bumped into some locals from a gay parade :P

Day 2.
We decided to get our asses moving early and get as much sight seeing done ! Problem was, I dint think we really knew where we were heading to. Talk about being a bit under prepared eh. But all that was water under the bridge as we managed to have an awesome day anyway ! Beautiful flowers which Holland is famous for was a must-see at the Keukenhof gardens. Only disappointment was that the famous tulip fields werent yet blossoming until late April. Dang.
Then it was off to Den Haag, to a place called Madurodam. A place to explore all of Holland in a day ! I can remember going when I was really small even then I felt like a giant among the miniatures !

The night life in Amsterdam is another fascinating topic but I think I might just keep that to myself but one thing I can tell you, it's a must-experience-yourself thing. All I have to say is, WOAH. :D

hmmm... The district ;)

Day 3.
We had a pretty slow start to the day as the boys were a bit worn out from the night before. tut tuttt. ;) Plus the thought of having to go back in the evening was a bit of a put off to do anything as well. I practically had to shoo them out of bed to get them to breakfast! Then it was off for another day of city sight seeing. I wanted to go round on the many bikes they have but one of us dint know how to ride a bike so scratch that T.T
And thennn, it was back to Manchesterrrrr!

and thats bye bye Amsterdam !
