Wish-list

I've always wanted to achieve the extraordinary. Something I could look back on and tell the younger generation how cool I was 'back in the days'. I was talking to my best friend's mother who was a total adrenaline junkie. She's something like 50 and she's done more than a thousand deep see dives, she's climbed to the top of Europe, she climbs Mt. Kinabalu in less than a day and she's does this while still making time for the family. How can you not envy that ?

In fact, a couple of years ago I made a 'things-do-before-30 list'. Here's to name a few:

Number 5; learn to speak a different language. Fluently.
- Apart from the informal french sessions I had with Pauline over the last year, (not that its been very successful though) My sentences are mostly made up of vulgar french abuses or anything along the lines of that which seemed more fun to throw at the ever-so-polite Pauline *rolls eyes*. So yeah, I dont see me achieving that anytime soon.

Number 14; Get qualified as a diver.
- Numerous attempts were made after SPM and alevels and still, No license. I first blame the inappropriate pricing for taking diving classes. How do you expect poor students like me to be able to cough up 1k! Then I blame my stinking schedule for being so busy! Classes, events here and there, just couldnt find the right time to do it.

Number 27; Skydive.
- I very the nearly managed to achieve this last year with the Islamic Society at the University. Its an annual charity fundraiser so I'll get my chance when the new academic year starts. *fingers crossed*

Although there were numerous points I cant cross off the list just yet, I did manage to get a few strikeouts such as:

Number 1; See the world.
- Well maybe I cant cross it out fully yet because seeing 'the world' would be a bit too overzealous a dream I think - unless you're Mark Zuckerberg and you have 100 dollar bills to wipe your buttcheeks with! :P But since I've been in Manchester, I've seen some beautiful places and planning for more. Hopefully I'll still have time to at least come close to materializing this.

Number 3; Meet new people.
I think this was a no-brainer since moving to Manchester meant I could have ample opportunities for this. I have met some amazing people along the way and they've come and gone, but some have stayed close to heart ;)

So I'm 22 now, which gives me erhh.. a bit more time to work on my list....
