Happy 21st Bubbs!

The PIMP

Adli's birthday was on the 3rd of February. Having birthdays so close together was not very ideal and to add to the woes, mine came first. Which meant, I had to at least match up to whatever he organized for my birthday. And me being the all-time secretly 'kiasu' person I was, decided to go all out on this one. To be frank, this is the first time I had actually gone to this length for someone in Manchester, or maybe.... ever? ;)

Preparations for his surprise party (always a must for 21st birthdays!) were well underway even before the new year. The decision to host the party early and hit him when he least expected it was precisely the key element in making this the most memorable birthday he's ever had. I also knew exactly what to get him for his birthday but only problem was, I had to wait till MY birthday to get it. It was only going to be sold on the day of my birthday. And boy did we have problems with that! But, with my lightning quick fingers and quirky ebay skills, that was soon solved! I bet you're all wondering what I got him now eh? ..... :P

So fast forward to the weekend just before his birthday which was....*hmmm thinking* the 31st of January! To not raise any suspicions, I spent the WHOLE day with him out of the house where preparations i.e the cooking, and decorations were being manned by little helpers, the housemates and his sisters. I cant thank them enough for that. And at the end off the day, we surprised the socks off of him!! He was stunned speechless he could barely make it into the living room! Hahahaha, boy was that satisfying to watch!

The party itself was amazing. The crowd, the food, the presents, the entertainment (we had a magician. haaa jangan main2 beb! ) was superb! Hey, I could not have asked for a better turnout!

This was one of the TWO cakes that I baked, a red velvet with cream cheese icing...nomnomnomnom!

So you guys were wondering what I got him for his birthday?

I gave him two Bruno Mars tickets in Manchester telling him he can take whoever he wants. Whoever, meaning just me, that is. 10th of march, here we comeeeee! :P

Then, fast forward again to the actual day of his birthday, I promised a dinner for two. And initially I had this whole set up in mind, (so just work with me for a moment ok :P) : The dining table in the middle of the backyard, candles surrounding us, with mood music playing in the background. Romantic eyyy? haha That dint happen though. The wind was so strong that night, eating outside was a no-no. Instead we had to settle indoors. Even so, I still found a way to make it work ;)
That's the fat roast chickin that I made for dinner that night !

Bubbs, Happy 21st birthday. The fun's just starting for you :)

Loves,
Choms
xx
