I havent been inspired for a while, which explains the lack of interesting blogposts. So lets just start with what I've been doing with this mess I call - My Life.
Sitting around with a group of dentists over lunch last week, Lisa brought it up that we're actually at the half-way mark in our 'paths of ambition' to be a big shot dentist. LOL. And reflecting on how the time's whizzed past us it scares me half to death that I literally know nothing! - well lets not over exaggerate, I just dont have the confidence I should have at this point.
Before I scare any of you prospective patients off though, I can tell you I've been busy learning! 3rd year has been such a bitch to us that I sometimes barely have time to sit on the toilet for more than 5 minutes. I basically have 9-5 uni days on most days of the week, with seeing 2-3 patients per week. We also do a session of clinical practice a week to sharpen our manual dexterity and if thats not enough, we also have 3 different sets of PBL/seminar/discussion groups for the theory part of the course, learning about the different diseases that you could spot looking down one's throat.
On top of all the schoolwork, I'm also doing basketball 3 times a week, not that I'm complaining though cause I love it so much. So, this has pretty much restricted my social life to casual evening drinks and meals rather than all-night partayy-ing this year. Sucks, Ill be more grateful for a lie-in rather than waking up with a splitting headache the next day after a night out.
And since Bubbs is back home in Malaysia for about two weeks, I'd imagine that I'd be able to accomplish a bit more, but nope! not happening. Well that rules out my scapegoat for not doing work then eh. Hehe.
