#GraduationTrip - Dramarama on the road.

 Breakfast is served!

I'm back! :) So from Dubrovnik, our adventure then sent us on an 11 hour roadtrip to Plitvice National Park!

As with all travels, it wouldnt be complete without a little bit of drama eh. Apparently the car rental company had gotten the pick up locations wrong and they had sent our car to the airport instead of where we intended on collecting, in town. Only four hours later (with a lot of sweat and tears, literally!!) was the car released for our use. Since the car company was at fault, they decided to compensate us with a free upgrade from a 7 seater to a monster 9 seater!! An upgrade none of us actually wanted!

Imagine this, a massive 9 seater van which no one had any experience of driving, manual transmission which only half of us could actually drive with and it was a left hand drive! How were we to manage?! Well the supposed 6hour drive turned 11 hours on the road should say something about our incompetent navigation and driving skills which was made worse by an outdated GPS which kept telling us to take narrow, dodgy, unpaved roads into nowhere! Talk about roadrage!

The drive however actually compensated for all the misery as we took the Dalmatian Highway, which ran alongside the coastline and we were just blown away by the never ending scenic views! Alex (the kayak guide) had recommended a few places where we could have stopped to have lunch and enjoy but due to our scheduling getting a little bit sidetracked, we had to bypass the wonderful places. One of the many reasons I definitely think I'll be coming back for!

Bless Lisa!

By the time we arrived at our accommodation in Plitvice, it was already nightfall but when we checked into AutoKamp Korana, I think sleep was the last thing on everybody's mind. The place we were staying at was an actual campsite and we stayed in small, 2 person bungalows which were - basic. It was pretty cool though, we were chilling in my room and just chatting, getting to know each other better, (with cricket sounds humming in the background) and apparently the world just got a little bit smaller.

Seems Syasya, Lisa's cousin whos originally from Malacca, used to know my roomate from college who apparently had a thing-a-fling with Wen who was planning on going to Cardiff to pay her a visit after we get back from Croatia! Lol got that? :p That night was laughs!

So who's up for a 7 hour hike tomoro! WE AREEEEE!
Till next time
xx
