The minor hiatus was due to me having such a massive workload before the Easter holidays. It was by far the hardest week as a Dental student so far. My Critical Appraisal write up was due in, with the presentation date being a few days apart which I had to prepare for. Then there was also much more going on in terms of clinical practice that I was getting. I'm seeing a lot more comprehensive dental cases, and starting to think about and prepare cases to be done for final year. Alhamdulillah, all that's done and settled, hopefully I've done enough to satisfy the examiners. Now to concentrate on final year.
Gosh, final year... Not far off now. Am I really ready to be let loose on society? Lol. There's been a lot of buzz about the 4th years as well, with talks about Vocational Training applications (the foundation year after we graduate as Demtists), where? And how to stand out? There are only so many places available and so its all about competition. The tutors have brought in people to talk to us about this and it has really got me thinking seriously about the future now. Big question, where do I wanna be after I graduate? It was something I was asking myself a lot before the holidays, hence the extra 'helping' on my plate at that time. I've talked to a couple of people about it, my dad, some people in a similar predicament but I would love to be able to talk to my bestfriend about it.
So you see, I really needed a bit of time off from all the work, the thinking and prolly most of all, the depressing Manchester weather. So in the midst of all that busyness, I managed to hastily plan a getaway with some friends. I'll write a separate post about the #EasterTrippin but I'll leave you guys with a little teaser of whats to come.
