Of the many visits to Londontown.

Last weekend I went down to London to go see a long-time Mancunian friend, Sarah Hani who had come over for a holiday. She couldnt find time to make it up to Manchester but I couldnt really let her come all this way, not to spend some catch up time with the lovely lady. So Saturday evening, after a rather successful outing at the Manchester Games, (where my team bagged a gold medal for the women's 3-on-3 basketball - just felt that I had to mention that. Lol) took a train down for some fun times.

Despite being utterly knackered from the previous day and bedtime gossip, we made our way to Petticoat Lane market for some shopping and souvenirs hunting. The stuff there were really good and vintage-y although if you were a guy, you probably would struggle to find something there for yourself. Sarah definitely went crazy with all the cheap bargains that were on display. There were definitely some interesting characters at the market, with a guy singing his "everything for a pound!" song and pervy stall keepeers. Lol

We had lunch at Neal's yard, not before getting a random hand massage/therapy from a hot salesperson though. Lol and although he couldnt win us over to buy any of his products, he definitely sold us with his witty personality!

This is us pretending to be posh by going to all these posh places like Laduree and Harrods. We were walking in Harrods when I mentioned that it smelt a bit weird, and Sarah stopped and said "this is what luxury air smells like" Lol! And whats a day in London without a sit in the park! (Green Park in this case)

I had a nice weekend down in London and I'm starting to fall in like with that city. There's just a lot to explore and I think a couple more visits might be on the books in the future. but as of now, it should probably be time for me to crank up the gears on this thing called studying! Finals in roughly four weeks, wish me luck!

Hi there.

I've been reading your posts at times, for a while, randomly. What I can say is, I feel you.

Be strong, the storm won't stay forever.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
