Roll up, roll up!

Yesterday,

I sat for my first 4th year SAQ finals paper. It was pretty tough. I remembered flitting through the exam questions and slowly panicking, thinking... this. cant. be. happening. right. now.
However, when I had calmed down a little though, slowly answering the questions to the best of my abilities, jogging the distant brain cells to give me any sort of output, it actually wasnt that bad. I think. And seeing as we've got quite a bit of a gap in between papers, everyone had practically given themselves the rest of the day off just as a teeny treat for braving through it all. Calls for drinks at the union everybodyyyy!

Chats in the union that evening was mostly swirled around the excitement of people heading off for electives this summer. Most of them are bound for SouthEast Asia where they'll be providing dental care to rural communities/villages, whilst making time for some travelling (and prolly a lot of partying) once they're done. I have to admit, I got slightly jealous.

I had thought about doing it. but after much research and asking around, it was decided (and some of the dents would argue, due to the amount of travelling I've been doing over the years) that the cost to fund myself for the programmes were too much to bear. Which was such a shame cause I would have liked to have been able to get some 'dental charity work' under my belt before I kickstart my actual career. Giving back. That what it was about.

So I went home, and started looking up alternatives to doing electives abroad, and I got so desperate I actually googled "humanitarian dental care needed" and "Billionaire philanthropist to fund dental electives?" crossing fingers and legs, for the likes of Tony Stark to come flashing up. but sadly, no luck. Lol. Then, a eureka moment! Hey, charity doesnt have to be halfway across the world, it could start right here at home! So after exams, I'm offering my dental services/consultation (cheyy) to anyone willing to be tortured cared for by yours truly!

Come get that sparkle in your teeth,
Dr P, at your service :D xx
