Underwater experience.

Wow! Three posts in the space of a week? I'm on a roll! Lol.

Well I just want to update you guys on my 'before-30 bucket list'. A teaser of it was in THIS post. So I can proudly now cross of number 14 off the list. I can now announce that I am a certified open water diver! :) And I've got the beef to prove it.

Lets relive the moments I say?
Well, my summer back home to Malaysia in June took me to an Island off the east coast of the peninsular, Pulau Perhentian. White sandy beaches, clear blue water, it was paradise. Went with a group of friends, most of which were just there for a nice break. We got ourselves the best deal available for the diving course with Turtle Bay divers and it proved to be bitter sweet experience.

Getting a diver's certificate was pretty similar to getting a driving licence. First you had to sit through a theory video for about 3 hours. Talk about torture! With the sun and the splash of the waves outside the little beach hut we were stationed in, calling our names like a song, who could blame us for skipping the 'unimportant' parts. We got into the water straight after lunch though buttttt..... it wasnt as fun as I initially thought it would be.

What happened?
Well, for starters.. when we were asked to fill out the medical form declaring our state of health, I dint think that my sinus problem would have a pronounce affect on me diving. I've never seen a doctor about it hence the ignorance. But lets just say, it didnt make my FIRST ever diving trip an enjoyable one to say the least. After that, I was really traumatized. I lost all form of enthusiasm and literally thought about quitting it. Boy, I was ready to bolt back to the mainland! But... I wasnt raised to be a quitter and I bullozed on, and the rest was... history.

Diving, check!! Bring on whats next!
xx
