"Call 911!"

There's always a first time for everything...like calling for the police!

Recently I was watching The Ellen show and there was this inspiring kid who was a guest and how he had saved a neighbour from a burning house. Watch it here.

And last night, I was thrown into a similar situation minus the burning house and trapped kid! Long story short, I'd heard some noises outside my window which at first I thought was just some neighbours taking out the trash. But somehow, it seemed very persistent and the noises were getting a bit louder. I opened the windows to see what was going on, but because it was pitch black, and I had the equivalent nightvision of a bat, I dint see anything. but the noises stopped.

Second time round though, I opened the window again, and gave a shoutout cause I could hear shuffling. At first, I thought it might have been a cat but then just on cue, the neighbours came home and I think they heard the noises too and flicked on all the lights, it was then that I saw these two kids in hoodies frantically trying to climb over the back gate! That was the "Call-the-911-I-Dont-know-what-to-say" moment right there! Lol.

But after coming round from my shock and running out to see the neighbours, I did eventually call 911 which was a bit nervy really, especially when the operator says ''this is 911, what is your emergency please?''

the morning after
I was on the phone to Adli as soon as I was done giving statements to the police and as soon as I heard his voice on the other end, I just choked. There's something just so comforting in his voice (and his eyes, have you seen his eyes?!) and that's what I miss most about not having him around.

We'll definitely have to be more vigilant and aware so that this doesnt happen again next time!
