Its that time of the year now.. Graduation week(s)! Which means, I get to watch my friends reap the rewards of all the hard work they put into getting an undergraduate degree to kick start this funny thing called life. and even though I've been to a few graduations as of date (its what you get for doing a dinosaur long degree folks!), the happy feeling of being able to celebrate with them never gets old. Watching them with the largest smiles on their faces as they chuck their mortar board hats into the air, sweating in their sleek suits and dresses but all the while still happily posing for pictures while their parents fuss over them. Its a joy really.
I actually have a taboo about putting on other people's graduation robes. I'm not superstitious or anything but its just I want the first time I put one on, to be at MY graduation. I want it to be special. So sometimes, when someone kindly offers theirs just for laughs, I'd politely decline and tell myself "Patience young padawan, your time will come". Just one more year to get through and godwilling, I'll be able to call myself a proud graduate.
