Happy New Year guys!
I've had an amazing end of year holiday season, I hope you guys had the same too! I was in London for a fortnight and I had some of the best company ever, meeting new people along the way and making some pretty amazing memories to cherish and finish 2014 on a high! Even as of now, I am struggling to find the words to sum up how amazing it was.
So I hope you guys enjoy the pictures!
^^Aideel was visiting from NYC and Bantal was down from Glasgow for a little catch-up before sending little Nawal off home to Malaysia^^
The little sister came all the way from Poland because I lured her and her friends with the idea of Boxing day shopping in London and I might have also made up a soppy sad story about how I'll be all alone over Christmas because Nawal was going home. And being the good little sister she is, she succumbed. So if ever she stumbles upon this, I want to say thank youuuu! I was also blessed with the company of two of my closest friends from school who were here on their second honeymoon, albeit only being married less than a year! Hey, what a way to keep the romance alive! ;)
On the evening of Christmas, since all the shops were closed and everyone was merry, I cooked up a roast chicken dinner for a group of eight! I had loads of elves in the kitchen helping me out which made the task a lot easier. I underestimated the amount of time it would take to prep and cook the meal which meant I had eight rumbling stomachs who devoured the meal as soon as it came out the oven which is why there arent any pictures of the delicious chickens!
And then of course it was off to see the sights in wonderful Londontown! I cant quite call myself a seasoned Londoner just yet but I tried my best to keep these tourists happy ;)

Getting into the holiday spirit, my friends and I also decided to play dress up and act fancy. I've mentioned in my previous post, I dont get to do it very often so it was fun to feel pretty even if it meant third-wheeling this beautiful couple!
What made this holiday season that little bit special was that I got to meet up with some old friends as well as meet some new ones along the way! Alhamdulillah, catching up and finding out big news from them like for instance, one's got a steady job here in the uk and another got proposed to under The Eiffel tower! Talk about growing up eh!
So its now 6 days into the new year, and it has kicked off to a great start. In 2014, I finally graduated and became a dentist and learnt the sweet feeling of hard-earned money but also, the harsh reality of taxes! I have learnt that there are things that I cant change, however hard I wish for them to. So together with this, I have also learnt to forgive myself and find inner peace through prayer and faith when I got the chance to perform my umrah. Summing
up the past year, there is not one thing I've been through that hasn't
been a lesson that led me to this moment, and I can't believe how great
life keeps getting. I cannot say praises, alhamdulillah enough.
Looking forward to the rest of it! Bismillah!
