Christmas Festivities.

I must admit, finding time to write lately has been a mammoth challenge! My energy levels have been lower as of late partly due to work and also maybe it just that time of the year where all my studenty friends are off on their xmas break and their holiday instagram posts dont really help either. But if there's one thing I love about this time of year, it probably has to be the merriment that comes in abundance all around. I was up in London again last weekend (which the travel, I think has been part of the reason why I've been so tired lately).

London over the holiday season is just magical! I remember having very fond memories of the 2010 winter holidays here and this year, I looked forward to it even more! I mean with all the hustle and bustle of everyone doing their christmas shopping, the decorated christmas trees popping up all around the city, the devineee window displays in Harrods - my battery ran out before I could take shots of them which was a shame, how can one CAN NOT fall in love with London.
^^I was going to try and scout for potential buys for the boxing day sales while helping Nawal shop for some stuff to take home. She's heading back to Malaysia for her brother's wedding and I am slightly jealous if I must say. We peeked into the Tommy Hilfiger store in Knightsbridge because I loveeee their winter line collection, if only I was wealthy enough to own one of each... I'd be the happiest! but we came across this neat rooftop grotto-ish spot which served complimentary hot chocolate and christmas cakes and that made me happy too! ^^

^^Ice skating at Somerset House is a must do!^^

^^And I know I already mentioned them in my previous post, but the Christmas lights on Regent street are my favorite!^^
^^Nawal never fails to spoil me by feeding me^^
^^One of my dad's cousins were also in London town that weekend and I hadnt seen them in ages so a catch up was definitely needed. They took me back to their rented apartment for a good homecooked meal with delicious sambal ikan bilis brought all the way from home. Yum! The last time I saw these kiddos, there were still toddling around with pacifiers in their mouths. They have grown so big and it was nice to see them welcome me as Aunty Peja the cool dentist. Lol
^^My eldest second cousin, Ayie has just finished his big GCSE equivalent exams back home and he needed  a good peptalk just cause he wasnt very sure about what he wants to do after this. I'm no wise owl yet but it was humbling to think he looked up to me!^^
^^My sister is flying in from Poland next week and some of my good friends are also flying into Londres so I get to spend the holidays with friends family, which is what the season is all about right? Alhamdulillah for it all. I absolutely cant wait and lots to look forward to. Until then though, I have still got two more days of work next week before I get some time off until the new year. Patients, please be kind!!

Happy Holidays everyoneeeee! Merry Christmas!

Mad love,
P xx
