It was nice being back and seeing these guys. It felt a good kind of different to be back as a qualified dentist as opposed to still being a dental student. I cant quite explain it but I felt confident and I felt good about myself. Especially when I was the one signing the bill at the end of the night. Anything for these guys who have been my rock for the past 26 years!
I managed to make the most out of my short trip back home, squeezing in some time to attend weddings, engagements, cuddle babies (not mine), catch-ups and get my roti canai cravings satisfied!
A few photos...
Remember when I told you they had big plans ahead for them? Well they are now Mr. and Mrs! Now all they gotta do is graduate (the wifey), move in together and they're set, for the rest of their lives, insyaAllah.
Then I got to spend some time with my baby god-daughter. Look at herrrrrr! Isnt she the cutest and most beaautiful baby ever!! I think a part of that is probably down to having this pretty lady as her mama and me as a god-mother, but hey, not everyone can be so lucky eh :p
Going home this time around has given my an awfully difficult decision to make with regards to the prospect of the near future: Do I go home, for good. Or do I stay? Its been a whirlwind of a journey here and it doesnt make the decision any easier but I think either way, there'll be light at the end of the tunnel... right? Lol.
So, I have had a very relaxing three-day summer bank holiday weekend doing absolutely nothing besides relaxing, oh and maybe a little bit of cleaning. I shall be expecting some guests around in the next couple of weeks so I'm excited for that! I promise to update more frequently so you guys dont miss me too much! Until then, mad love.

When planning my short break home, a lot of it had to do with the fact that I didnt want to miss out on one of the H's (that make
up our triple-H gang: Hana, Hafizah and Hafiq) engagement day! This included a roadtrip with some of my favorite people to the North of Malaysia and a major carbo-loading filled weekend!
Nasi Kandar is a famous Malaysian delicacy which consists of steamed rice and a flooding of different malaysian curries and not to forget the variety of side dishes, of squid, prawns, fried chicken (who doesnt love fried chicken!), salted egg and many more. Oh gawd. Just typing this up has made my mouth water. By the end of the trip, I could precariously say that I was on the brink of a food coma.
Getting to spend time with these folks though, was the icing on the cake!
Feeling so guilty after stuffing my face, I managed to get some fresh air on the Hills of Broga. This place was a big hype up a couple of years ago when I was still studying and I have never gotten the chance to experience it until lately. Better late than never right?
I was slightly concerned about the climb up noting that my current state of fitness wouldnt be the best of, at the moment. I cant remember the last time I properly broke out a sweat and I am starting to become accustomed to my slow, prevailing (food)baby bump! The hike wasnt particularly difficult and I managed to get to the top in pretty quick time surprisingly and I was glad that the only thing that took my breath away was the serenity and fresh air at the top. It was a good morning out.
Also, I scheduled (or more correctly, made my mother schedule) for a girly day out with my sister and her and also treated the whole family out for dindins. It's beautiful to think how our relationship with each other has evolved as everyone gets older. From not being able to stand the sight of each other to actually wanting to have a full quorum around the dinner table, from fighting on who gets to sleep on the double bed to being all around the world and away from home. Not all families are perfect and I'm not preaching that mine is but we complement each other in a variety of ways and that makes it perfect.
Just a picture of my parents with their favorite daughter and my dad and the brother-in-law being silly.
