#EasterTrippin' - Capri Island

Disclaimer: The word and color blue is abundant in this post. Should you be sensitive to it, stop scrolling now.

If ever the saying ''Leaving the best till last" was ever relevant, this had to be it. I was so blown away with the prettyness of Capri Island, Subhanallah that the torture of a boat ride we had getting to the island was forgotten within minutes of stepping off the deck! The sun had finally come out from behind the fluffy bug clouds and the sky was as blue as our bright blue dental tunics! Lol.

This guy, I've known all my life. Literally. We were in kindergarten, schoolmates, separated for a bit, neighbours since forever, and now he's even tagging along on my travels. I cannot get rid of him!! Haha

As the weather was again initially guilty of derailing some of the things we had planned to do like renting scooters to get around the island, and paying a visit to the Grotto Azzura (the blue grotto where the water shimmers a neon blue) we could only make the most of our short time there by just enjoying the breath taking scenery really. I'd like to quote a verse in the Quran that goes:
They plot and they plan and Allah plans too. Little do they know, Allah is the best of planners. Al-Quran, (8:30)
After reminding ourselves of this, all was good, and we took the funicular up to the town square where the streets were lined with designer shops and fancy restaurants. Wow, I really underestimated the lifestyle here.

The week long break was just what I needed to take my mind away from things, even if it was just for a bit. We cant escape reality forever, can we?

Signing off from #EasterTrippin,
